Improve your Golf Fitness by following these steps.

Begin by visiting your local certified golf fitness instructor. Here you’ll find a qualified individual who can assess various aspects of your body and explain how physical attributes shape your golf swing. You’ll likely experience multiple golf specific physical screening procedures designed to uncover the physical limitations you’ll need to improve before experiencing an easier and more repeatable golf swing.

Use swing analysis to gain perspective. Most of us think we have a good feel for what we’re doing in our golf swing. Unfortunately, feel and real are usually quite different. Get together with your golf pro, capture your swing on film or using 3D, then go over it together. Swing analysis is a great tool to identify mechanical inefficiencies in your golf swing. If you and your pro uncover an area needing special attention be sure to pair your swing analysis with information uncovered during your golf specific physical assessment before deciding on the best plan to resolve the issue.

Take part in a golf specific training regimen. Do you currently go to the gym? Are you active outside of golf? If not, you could be in trouble. If you want to get better at golf you’d better be training; that doesn’t mean hitting balls alone. Now you don’t have to have a bunch of equipment, a fancy gym membership, or a wide open schedule to improve your body and your golf game. What you do need is an understanding of the golf swing’s physical demands and a plan to train your body to produce what’s needed to achieve greater swing efficiency.
